Our relationship with Tammy and Sherry started 6 years ago when we were looking for our first home.  They showed us many resale homes and gave us excellent advice on the market.  At the time we decided to purchase new and Tammy and Sherry could not be happier for us that we found a place we adored.  They maintained contact with us over the years by sending periodic details on the real estate market and home renovation insight.

In February of this year we had a small notion to start looking for a new home that was slightly larger than the one we were in.  We looked at our fist home with Sherry on Valentine's Day but were not completely sure we wanted to make a move.  That all changed just two weeks later when we put on offer in on a home that met all of our requirements.

The offer was accepted late on a Monday night.  Sherry conducted the negotiations on our behalf into the very late hours giving up her own personal time.  On Tuesday she helped us make arrangements for an inspection, legal services and walked us calmly through the mountains of paperwork.  The inspection on the house we purchase was on Wednesday and with Sherry again present we received a positive report on the house. 

The next sep was to sell our house.  Sherry and Tammy came over to our house and had a good look at it.  They came prepared with data on all the local similar homes for sale and those that had sold recently.  Together we agreed on a price and by Thursday the professional photographer that Sherry had arranged for was at our house taking pictures again accompanied by Sherry.  Tammy worked to put the sell sheets together and our house was listed on MLS on Friday just 4 days after putting in an offer for the house we wanted.  Our first showing took place on that very same night.  Two more showings followed on Saturday morning and one of those showings produced an offer that after some negotiation was accepted.

In these challenging economic times we bought and sold within 5 days.  Our house sold in less than 24 hours!  Without the assistance of Sherry and Tammy this would not have been possible.  Their experience, drive and strategy were integral to the seamless transition we experienced in our swift buy and sell.  They were professional and added humour periodically to keep the process fun.  Sherry showed genuine concern for our littlest son who was ill through most of the process.  She was very adaptable to working around both doctor's appointments and naps.

The week following the sale was a tad tense as we waited for financing by the buyer to fall into place especially when another offer without conditions was placed on the house we bought.  Their guidance and again humour was refreshingly accepted.  Everything worked out in our favour and the deals went firm.

The service did not end there.  Sherry arranged better closing dates with both parties and kept an eye on our new home on moving day.  She arranged for a free van for us to use which helped greatly with the move.  The day following the move Sherry and Tammy surprised us with a huge tray of sandwiches for us and our helpers and some other treats too.

If we had to describe Sherry and Tammy's real estate services with one word it would be thorough.  From start to finish they managed every detail with finesse.  Managing these deals would not have been possible without their assistance.  We were able to continue our hectic family life without the stress of real estate research or trying to figure out the piles of forms and contacts on our own.  They took care of everything and we could trust them to steer us in the right direction.

If you are looking at buying or selling or as in our case both look no further.  The team that will work with your individual requirements is Sherry and Tammy.  Their level of professionalism is what you need when executing these major transactions.  End of story.

I have recently had the positive opportunity of having Tammy Weedmark as my Real Estate Agent for the sale of my home. From our first meeting where Tammy came prepared with a portfolio explaining the current housing market and suggestions for pricing that would give me maximum gain; until the finalizing of the sale which happened in less than two weeks: I had the benefit of partnering with someone who displayed competence and a calm thoroughness which immediately put me at ease. Tammy was patient about answering questions and explained the sale process well so that I always knew what to expect next. She was also easily available by phone whenever I needed her advice.

We have known Tammy as a friend for a few years. We were interested in looking for a larger home in the Barrhaven community. Our hesitation at working with a friend was overcome when we listened to Tammy as spoke to the seller of a “for sale by owner.” She knew the market and she knew how to express to this seller in a tactful way that his home was overpriced.

We didn't end up finding a home in Barrhaven that we liked more than the one we already lived in. However, when a sudden opportunity came up for us to move to the East Coast Tammy was there to help us sell our home. Picking up and moving to a different province, uprooting two teenaged children, selling a home, finding a home, starting a new job and leaving twenty years of life in Ottawa all in less a month’s time was very stressful even for someone who has wanted to “go back home forever! “

Tammy showed us what we needed to do to get our house ready for sale—what had to be done and what we could skip with the limited amount of time we had to get ready. She put us on a schedule to get our house on the market in a minimum amount of time. She helped us to prepare our home to show it at its best. Then she presented us with a detailed market analysis to determine a price and listed our home. Photos, feature sheets and web site listings came next. Our home went on the market on a Wednesday with no showings allowed until Saturday giving us time to get the final things ready. On Saturday while were in Nova Scotia looking for a new home Tammy called us with news that we had two offers on our house. By the Friday of the next week we had a firm deal for over our asking price.

We are writing this tardy but well-intentioned letter to express to you our pleasure with the buying experience we had with your company. In particular, we want to point out the excellent work done by Tammy Weedmark, one of your associates.

Upon getting the information that we were indeed moving to Ottawa, we contacted some friends and asked them for a referral, since we had planned on purchasing in the Barrhaven area. I have to admit that your Real Estate Team came highly recommended. As you are probably well aware, a House Hunting Trip for a Military Family can be, and usually is a very stressful time. It was Tammy’s personality that exuded a calming effect on us and made the experience almost pleasant. I say almost because the stress side of it never really allows one to actually enjoy this time, especially as the week progresses and the “possibilities” seem to dwindle.

Tammy’s ability to weed (no pun intended) through the plethora of information about our likes, dislikes and wishes, made us very comfortable in knowing we were going to see only those houses meeting all our criteria. Although, we did not end up purchasing any of the listings we looked at, we were very secure with the fact that Tammy knew what we were looking for and we were confident that we could return to Kingston and let Tammy do the leg-work if in the end we didn’t find anything.

As luck would have it, we ended up finding our newly built Holitzner home while we got lost in Stittsville and the rest is now history. Please pass on our heartfelt gratitude to Tammy for her work and thank you for the assistance during yet another stressful week in the life of a military family. It is experiences like this that makes the burden of moving much less painful.
